Provenance, mineral character, and the right vessel.
Every label we carry is chosen for where it comes from and how it is bottled. We favour established springs and mineral-water houses, glass over plastic, and provenance over volume.
A real spring, not a tap
Every water we carry traces back to a named, legally protected source. We do not list manufactured or municipally-sourced water dressed up as something rarer than it is.
Where a water comes from is the first thing we check and the first thing we tell you.
Mineral character
Mineral content is the reason two waters taste nothing alike. We choose for that difference, from near-weightless oligomineral waters to intensely mineralised ones.
Each water is described by its documented mineral profile and total dissolved solids, so you can choose by character rather than by name.
The right vessel
Some sources have always used glass; others a particular format that suits the water and the way it travels. We favour glass over plastic wherever we can.
But we do not force a single standard where it does not fit the source. The vessel is chosen for the water, not the other way around.
An exacting edit
We are a single, curated index of premium water, not a comprehensive catalogue. Each label earns its place on provenance, mineral character and the vessel it arrives in.
If a water does not add something the edit is missing, it is not here.
Independent and honest
Artisanal Aqua is an independent retailer. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by the brands we carry, and all trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
We describe every water by its source and mineral profile, never by health claims.
